CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

1. 300 grms butter
2. 150 grms demerara (brown) sugar
3. 150 grms liquid honey
4. 3 eggs
5. 230 grms flour
6. A pinch of salt
7. 60 grms (6 tsp) cocoa powder
8. 15 ml (tsp) instant coffee dissolved  in hot water
9. Vanilla essence 
10. 2 tsp baking powder.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

NOTE:This recipe will make 32 small sizes cake (18cm 7 inches) sandwich tins.

• Grease and line tins, cream butter, sugar and honey until light and fluffy.
• Gradually add lightly beaten eggs.
• Add little at a time, beating well between each addition.
• Sieve flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder together, fold into creamed mixture, add liquid coffee.
• Add vanilla essence and stir well place in a prepared tins bake for 25-35 minutes in moderate preheated oven.
